I used to Train at Arbour Youth in Stepney. Charlie Magri was always there. Also Jimmy Batten was our football manager when I played for St Matthews over weavers fields.

My grandad was known as the chicken of the northumberland (the pub he drank in) and made a fortune out of knocking blokes off Lea bridge into the water. God bless him.

I did a bit at The Little Eye club when I was a teenager. Totally the wrong build to be a boxer tho.

I used to do boxing when i was a kid at the west ham boxing club behind the Black Lion only lasted a few months got very scared of one of my opponents not of his boxing prowess but he had some kind of skin disease so when you hit him loads of skin used to fall off, frightened the life out of me to get in the ring with him
From what I can remember the bloke who used to run it was ex military and very intimidating

This could be Interesting Kips as my Uncle was an Army champion who turned pro in the East End out of Poplar I've found some stuff on him but would be great to see if he's made your book.
